Crystal Beach bonanza
We played Sunday at Coy's joint. It's call "Beach Rock Cafe" and it is way out there. Go to Galveston and take the ferry across, then continue to go straight and you'll see it on the left. I got there around 2 and the rest of the crew were there for 3. We had some of the pizza which is a local fav. I must say I was quite impressed with the quality of the chow. I had a slice of the Greek pizza and it was done up with a bit o style....Liberal use of feta and zesty greek peppers made it a real Mediterranean delight. We played a concentrated set, only 2 hours, and over all I feel good about it. There were not too many people there but those that were had a good time. Compliments were received all around and the acoustics of the place were very nice. I taped up my drums and I was surprised to hear that my sound wasn't too overbearing. We came up with a new route for a particular solo Marc was having issues with. Mistakes were made but they were more amusing than anything. I got back into H town with ease to catch the second half of the Superbowl with my cousins and parents. I got in just in time to see Ms. Jackson's tit which was a surprise. I hope you all enjoyed the Superbowl crowds and media coverage all this past week. I am looking forward to things getting back to normal but I think that this was all good for Houston. Hopefully those that came out to downtown for the first time will now continue to do so. That's all for now so I'll catch you all on Thursday.Peace
